Kate Middleton’s ‘heartbreak’ over William’s decision about their family’s future

William, 41, and his brother Prince Harry, 39, previously attended Eton College, which broke the tradition of the older generation, including his dad the King, of attending a boarding school in Edinburgh

Kate Middleton is “heartbroken” after an “argument” with Prince William over where Prince George should go to secondary school, it has been claimed.

Both William, 41, and his brother Prince Harry, 39, attended Eton College – which was a break from the older generation’s tradition of attending the Scottish boarding school Gordonstoun.

While William wants George to go to Eton when he reaches the right age, Kate, 41, isn’t happy about the move.

A royal insider told Touch Weekly that the princess is set against sending George to the prestigious boys’ boarding school.

The main reason is that Kate was “horribly bullied at her first boarding school”, the insider claimed.

She said the princess “can’t bear the thought of George suffering through that.”

Kate attended a girls boarding school in Berkshire called Downe House, which she “hated” and ended up leaving mid-term.

She moved to Marlborough College, a co-ed boarding school in Wiltshire, where she stayed for the rest of her schooling.

That’s where she wants George to attend. The insider noted: “Kate thinks sending George to such a stuffy, upper-crust institution goes against all of their efforts to modernise the monarchy.”

The issue is said to be a major problem in the Wales household and the couple have spent hours “arguing” over the decision, the source said.

“Kate long disagreed with her husband about sending him away, even though it’s tradition,” they explained. However, it would appear is “finally giving in” to her husband’s wishes and he appears to have “won” the argument.

The Prince of Wales started at Eton in 1995 and graduated in 2000. Tuition for the school is £53,398, according to the school’s website.

It’s also been revealed that Princess Kate keeps in touch with her brood using a relatable app.

With her shock cancer diagnosis and her subsequent stay at the London Clinic, it would undoubtedly have been a tough time for Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

It’s thought the 41-year-old princess kept in touch with the youngsters using FaceTime, especially while Prince William was looking after the trio at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
