Royal Staffers Struggled While Working With The Duchess

The newly married couple, Harry and Meghan, embarked on a tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji in 2018, but things took a sour turn soon. In a resurfaced article, one royal expert revealed she witnessed the mother of two snapping at someone during her tour of Fiji. A pregnant Meghan Markle reportedly ‘turned and hissed’ at one of the royal aides, which left them in ‘tears.’

Daily Mail’s Royal correspondent, Rebecca English, recalled, “I was there at the time and witnessed Meghan turn and ‘hiss’ at a member of her entourage, clearly incandescent with rage about something, and demand to leave. I later saw that same — female — highly distressed member of staff sitting in an official car, with tears running down her face,” she continued. “Our eyes met, and she lowered hers, humiliation etched on her features.”

This all happened during the Fiji leg of the tour when the pregnant Duchess gave a rude response to her entourage as a group from UN Women was present at the market where she was, despite her insistence that they not attend.

Video footage of the actress whispering to an aide and rushing away from the market was also released. Although Meghan’s lawyers had denied that her exit had nothing to do with UN Women, as she had worked with them before and met them again later.

Some of the royal fans also rushed to Markle’s defence and said that the weather in Fiji at the time was humid and wasn’t the best for a pregnant woman. However, several others claimed otherwise and have called Meghan Markle ‘difficult to work with.’

While speaking to the outlet, Ms English highlighted that many royal staffers stepped down from their duties after working with them. She added that the group referred to them as ‘Sussex Survivors Club’, with some even supposedly suffering from post-traumatic stress.

As if this wasn’t enough, Meghan Markle’s former assistant, Melissa Touabti, who played a crucial role in planning her wedding, resigned a few months later. Furthermore, Samantha Cohen, the couple’s private secretary, also apparently left her role after struggling to keep up with them.
