HALF THE HAPPY: Despite Loss, Steph Curry Makes NBA History During Knicks-Warriors Game

In a historic moment during the Golden State Warriors’ matchup against the New York Knicks at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, two-time MVP Steph Curry achieved a significant milestone by surpassing Hall of Famer Robert Parish for 30th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Parish previously held the 30th spot with 23,334 points.

With this achievement, Curry now sets his sights on overtaking another legendary figure, Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, who occupies the 29th position on the all-time scoring list with 23,757 points.

The Golden State Warriors organization commemorated Curry’s accomplishment with a statement acknowledging his ascent to the 30th spot on the scoring list.

Curry entered the game with impressive season averages of 27.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, while maintaining shooting percentages of 45.0% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range across 60 games. Despite recently turning 36, Curry continues to showcase his elite skills, solidifying his status as one of the top ten players in the NBA.

In the Western Conference standings, the Warriors currently hold the ninth seed with a 35-31 record in 66 games. Over their last ten games, they boast a 6-4 record and most recently secured a victory against the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 128-121.

Curry returned to action following a three-game absence and delivered an impressive performance against the Lakers, contributing 31 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Despite shooting 3/10 from three-point range, he finished with an efficient 12/24 shooting from the field in 34 minutes of playing time.

Despite Curry’s achievement, the Warriors fell short against the Knicks, losing by a score of 119-112. Curry contributed 27 points, five rebounds, five assists, and one steal in the contest.
