She is expected to release her hotly anticipated eighth studio album any day now.
And it looks like Rihanna’s team wants to ensure nothing prevents the 27-year-old from making that happen, least of all a snowy slip.
On Thursday the singer was spotted getting the superstar treatment as she was given a piggyback ride from her bodyguard in order to avoid walking through piles of snow in wintry New York City.
Rihanna bundled up in an over-sized grey jacket, which fell to just above the hitmaker’s knees, and which she wore, at times, with the hood up.
She added an extra layer by also sporting a green camouflage jacket to keep warm in the snowy weather.
The FourFiveSeconds singer coupled those with a pair of destroyed light wash denim jeans and sturdy work boots.
Her long raven locks were styled in loose curls for the outing, and she donned a pair of large hoop earrings.
She sported a smoky eye with shimmery shadow, dark pink lipstick, and accessorized with an assortment of rings.
Rihanna was spotted leaving her favorite Italian restaurant, Da Silvano, before she took the piggyback ride from her bodyguard.
Later she was seen waiting inside of an industrial art gallery for a photo shoot, for which the songstress was keeping mum.
She was seen walking into the gallery with her team and a camera crew Thursday evening, as she sipped on a warm beverage in a Styrofoam cup.
Recently Rihanna has been teasing new music, taking to Instagram to share clips of upcoming songs.
The superstar posted two length videos of a new song titled Higher, possibly off her eighth studio album.
In addition, she gave fans a first listen of her single Towards The Sun, which is featured on the soundtrack of the DreamWorks animated flick Home – for which she also voices a character.
