Rihanna kept her maternity fashion marathon going on Sunday night, attending the Super Bowl in Los Angeles in a sheer blue top and dark bra, gray jeans, and a blue jacket.
The singer spoke to People on Friday about her pregnancy dressing mindset.
She called playing with fashion while expecting “fun” but also “a challenge.” She said, “I like it. I’m enjoying it.
I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”
Fashion helps her feel more confident too. “Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.’ But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform. You put some clothes on, and it’s like, when you look good, you feel good. I’ve heard that for a very long time, but it’s true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch.”
Rihanna also spoke to Extra that night about how she has been feeling during her pregnancy. “Really great—tired at times, on and off, which I am not used to,” she said. “I can fight through any hour of the night, but now it’s, like, putting me down: ‘No, you go to bed right now.’” She added her baby would inevitably be fly: “They’re not gonna have a choice—Mommy and Daddy [A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s boyfriend], we ain’t too shabby.”
