In the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, which premiered on July 25, Prince Harry opened up about his ‘mission to continue his fight to expose the illegal tactics of the UK’s tabloid press.’ During the discussion, he mentioned how the ruling in December was in support of him.

However, he still feels that Britain is not safe for his family because of security reasons. The media retaliation against his legal battle makes him feel that it is too dangerous to bring Meghan back to his home ground.

“It’s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read,” Harry said. “And whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”

Furthermore, there have been several reports of genuine threats against the Duchess’ life. Back in 2022, the former head of counterterrorism, Neil Basu, said, “We had teams investigating it.

People have been prosecuted for those threats.” The Duke has previously mentioned that he felt forced to leave the royal role and the UK to protect his family. As soon as the estranged couple stepped back as senior working royals, their security was taken away.

During the ITV interview, Harry also shared the motivation behind his battle against the Press is to protect his family from further security risks. The 39-year-old also highlighted how this fight against tabloids had a significant impact on his relationship with the royal family. Royal fans know that Harry and his brother William were both victims of phone hacking but dealt with it in different ways.
