The human notebook Rihanna has added another etching to her already heavily-tattooed body.
Emerging from a parlour in London’s Soho, the Russian Roulette singer was seen flashing her midriff as she raised her sweatshirt to reveal the clingfilm and masking tape used to cover fresh inkings.
While it is not known what the 24-year-old has marked herself with this time, she looked pretty pleased with herself showing off her flat stomach to passers-by who were eager for an autograph.
Rather cryptically, Rihanna has posted a series of messages on her Twitter page, perhaps referring to Chris Brown – who she is rumoured to have embarked on a romance with again after their flirtation at the VMAs on Thursday where they publicly hugged one another and she was seen offering a kiss.
What appeared to be a stream of consciousness, she wrote: ‘Red lipstick. Rose petals. Heartbreak… I was his Marilyn Monroe… Brown eyes… Tuxedo… Fast cars… A James Dean on the low.’
Poignantly, the Barbadian beauty added: ‘What’s love without tragedy?’
The new piece of body art follows Rihanna’s picture of a flying Egyptian falcon in the shape of a handgun which she had done just above her right ankle in June.
It is believed to be her 18th tattoo, in addition to a pistol on her thigh, cross on her collarbone, music note on her ankle, Pisces sign behind her right ear and the word ‘love’ on her left middle finger.
She also has a trail of stars emblazoned on the back of her neck, alongside the French saying ‘Rebelle Fleur’ – which means rebellious flower.
Rihanna’s presence on UK shores has added speculation that she will perform at the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Paralympic Games on Sunday night.
