The Duke of Sussex was recently honoured with the Pat Tillman Award for his exceptional services at the ESPY Awards. This remarkable award is given to those who have extraordinary civic contributions to support. Some people call it the Oscars of the sporting world.

Prince Harry - 28th June

Royal family fans know that Harry has been dedicated to Invictus Games, and his work has finally spoken for him. As happy as we are for him, this news has not settled well with several people and has sparked outrage in the Britain and America.

This update comes after the speculation that Meghan and Harry are apparently losing popularity on both sides of the pond.

The Telegraph reportedly claimed, “It has become increasingly clear that he is now as divisive a figure in the US as he is in the UK.” It seems like the Duke & Duchess of Sussex are not getting acceptance in either of the countries which has led to such a major blow from the public.

RF/ Meghan & Harry Are Not Getting Acceptance

While discussing this whole incident, a close source of the royal family spoke to Daily Beast and highlighted that Harry and Meghan wanted to stay away from the media and now they’re picking retail awards on live TV. The source claimed it, ‘pathetic.’

They also added, “If you get a medal in the army, you don’t brag about it, so the idea of turning up at a televised awards ceremony to be honoured would be utterly embarrassing to most military people. It’s really sad to see Harry, who was an amazing guy who everyone respected, doing this kind of stuff.”

According to reports, a petition calling for ESPY to ‘rethink’ their decision was also underway and had already received more than 68000 signatures. Prince Harry’s honour was also criticised by Tillman’s mother, Mary.

While speaking to the Daily Mail, she said, “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award.”

However, ESPN defended their decision and called Harry’s work ‘a cause worth celebrating.’ Also, share your opinions on this matter in the comments below!
