EXCLUSIVE: A fashion expert reveals the hidden message the Princess of Wales wanted to send with her latest style choice.
The Princess of Wales may have wanted to send a particular kind of message through her latest video appearance, according to a style expert.
Princess Kate appeared in a video released by Kensington Palace on Monday and spoke about her cancer journey, revealing that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment and is now focusing on doing what she can to stay cancer-free, with a “renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life”.
Kate sported two dresses in the clips as she announced the joyous news – Veronica Beard’s Castella floral-print Ramie midi dress in ivory and a light denim button-down dress by H&M.
She styled both dresses with her beloved white Veja trainers.
Now a fashion expert pointed out that there is one common detail in both of her dresses which could carry a deeper meaning for the princess.

She also praised the princess for shifting away from her usually tailored outfits to “more casual, distinctly summery items”.
The expert said: “In true Kate fashion, the outfits she sported in her touching video were simple, classic and elegant. However, these were certainly different styles to the ones we normally see her in.
“From a fashion perspective, Kate has nailed the boho chic look that we’ve been loving this summer, and it was fabulous to get an inside look at the more everyday aspects of her wardrobe and notice that they stay true to her elegant, timeless style.”
