Yesterday’s Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejiková gave Princess Kate her winning racket.
Wimbledon ladies champion Barbora Krejčiková has gifted Princess Kate the racket she used to win in yesterday’s thrilling three-set match.
In a post on the official Prince and Princess of Wales X page, the team posted: “Great to be back at Wimbledon! There’s nothing quite like The Championships.”
Princess Charlotte, nine, can be seen holding the racket after joining her mother, Princess Kate, 42, and aunt, Pippa Middleton, 40, to watch today’s men’s singles final match.
The Women’s Single’s Final on July 12 saw Barbora Krejcikova beat Jasmine Paolini in three sets to win her second grand slam title.
The 28-year-old became the second Czech player in as many years to win the Venus Rosewater Dish after Marketa Vondrousova’s victory last year.
Princess Charlotte arrived in SW19 with her mum, Princess Kate, to sit in the royal box at the Wimbledon Championships 2024 this afternoon, along with Kate’s younger sister Pippa Middleton.
Princess Kate entered with her daughter and chatted to members of staff before making her way to Centre Court, wearing a purple dress by Safiyaa.
Charlotte is no stranger to centre court as last year she attended the Wimbledon men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic along with her older brother Prince George, which saw Carlos clinch the winner’s trophy.
On the Player’s Lawn earlier, Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte met two groups – one of female players and one of people on the ‘Work at Wimbledon’ programmme which supports young people from a range of backgrounds with roles at the Championships.
The Princess of Wales, who is patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, is expected to present the trophy to the winner of the coveted men’s final today.
