Rihanna was spotted showing off her cookery skills while making pancakes at a pop-up stall during an event for her global beauty brand Fenty in Shanghai.
The singer, 36, has been in the municipality this week on a business trip as she promotes her beauty empire and make-up products.
Rihanna’s visit to the area comes after Fenty officially entered the mainland China market via Sephora earlier this year in February.
The video of Rihanna whipping up some pancakes were taken at a Fenty Beauty pop-up at the Shanghai Photography Museum on Tuesday evening.
The event had a jianbing stall – a popular Chinese breakfast pancake – and Rihanna had a turn at manning the griddle.
Rihanna was filmed spreading the batter on the griddle before topping it with an egg, spring onions and other ingredients.
Jianbing is believed to have originated from the Shandong province more than 2,000 years ago and coincidentally, Rhianna’s nickname in China is ‘Queen of Shandong’.
When asked about it Rhianna said: ‘I love to cook. It was cool because I never got to make that before so I was learning.’
Rihanna looked typically cool in a black PVC trench coat, which she wore with matching gloves and studded heels.
She was sporting blonde locks and added to her outfit with a pair of stylish shades, a slick of red lipstick and a diamond necklace.
With a net worth of $1.4 billion, the entertainer combines her music career with her beauty brand, Fenty Beauty and lingerie label, Savage X Fenty.
Her visit comes after she announced that her brand Fenty Beauty will now be available in China.
